HOW DANTS PANCE STARTED
"I grew up dancing because I loved it.
I didn't realize until later how much I needed it.
I danced for fun.
I danced for passion.
I danced with friends.
I danced to get my wiggles out.
I danced off my stress.
I danced to perform on and off the stage.
I danced to feel the music
through every muscle, nerve,
bone, and cell in my body.
I danced for 20+ years, then fell out of the habit and didn’t prioritize it anymore. Then I started thinking I was ‘Too Old’, ‘Too Tired’, ‘Too Busy’, I couldn't do 50 fouetté's anymore. I’m not as flexible as I used to be. This also seemed to be a metaphor for my sparkly, outgoing, fun-loving self disappearing.
Later, I was drafting a Bio for a program application, and felt like an imposter still calling myself a ‘Dancer’. So, I wrote the words, ‘Even though dance is no longer a part of my life, it’ll always have a special place in my heart.’ and clicked submit.
When I later read it on the program website, I thought, ‘WHAT?!?! Who IS that person? I never danced because I was ‘trained’ or ‘qualified’ or the ‘best’, I danced for me, I danced for an outlet, I danced for HAPPINESS! PSH, “...No longer a part of my life…” FORGET THAT!” and made a vow then and there to create opportunities to dance, not only for myself, but for everyone.
A few months later, Dants Pance LLC was born. I’ve always said, anyone can dance, you just have your own rhythm. So "Get your Dants Pance on” and come “Find Your Rhythm” with us!
I’m Angelee Beth Day, and I’m "Never Gonna Not Dance Again”, and neither should you.

Meet Founder, CEO, and Dance Session Architect, Angelee Day!
Angelee (AKA 'Angie') received her degree from Southern Utah University in Business Management with an emphasis in Dance Performance. She has been classically trained over ~20 years in many dance forms, including but not limited to: Ballet, Jazz, Hip Hop, Modern, Contemporary, Tap, and Ballroom. She has 10+ years as a dance instructor of ages ranging from toddler to adult.
Born and raised in Utah, she briefly moved to Tennessee in 2011 to try something new and fell in love with the area! After several more moves, marrying her love and best friend, and 5 crazy wonderful kids, she finally moved back in 2020 and now officially calls East Tennessee home.
She loves the outdoors, stand up comedy, music, laughing, funny words, sarcasm, organization, color-coding everything from her closet to her calendar, and of course, dancing.
She believes dancing is for everyone, whether it be pajama jams in your socks, impromptu dance parties with your kids, dancing out the stress in your car on the way home from work, while making dinner in the kitchen or out with friends.
